The grandest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an Amerindian casino in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gambling space, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, like 21, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous styles of poker; also 3 dining rooms, daily entertainment, and gaming instructions. A further large American Indian gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slot machines, and 14 table games. Additionally, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are many other popular Iowa gambling dens, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slots, and 14 table games. Another Iowa paddle wheel boat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is available all hours, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot water based gambling den in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday vingt-et-un tournaments.
Iowa casinos offer an excellent deal of tax money to the state government of Iowa, which has allowed the budgeting of a good many commonwealth wide projects. Tourism has grown at a fast percentage accompanied with the requirement for processors and a growth in jobs. Iowa casinos have been helpful to the expansion of the economy, and the enthusiasm for gambling in Iowa is across the board.
