Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just over the border from neighboring Thailand, where gambling hall gaming is not permitted. Eight gambling halls are situated in a relatively tiny location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a three to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular wagering locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The astonishing income acquired from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a couple of controls requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; however, investment sources are cryptic. The borders are formally open from 09:00 to 17:00, and though visas are supposedly required to pass, there are methods around this, as is correct of most borders.

The first Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored boat gambling den, contains one hundred and fifty slot machine games and sixty gaming tables. The Naga gambling den is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 one armed bandits and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and ninety six gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and sixty six of the common table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive vacation and hotel building that features many conveniences aside from the gambling den, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 slot machine games and eighty eight gaming tables.
