Gaming supervisors look over gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the table games, they ensure that all stations and games are manned for each shift. It also is accepted for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating rules for guests. Supervisors may also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.
Gaming supervisors must have leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. They need these tactics both to manage employees accurately and to greet bettors in order to encourage return visits. Nearly all casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, many supervisors gain experience in other gambling jobs before moving into supervisory desks because an understanding of games and casino operations is important for these staff.
