Gaming supervisors administer gaming operations and staff in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they ensure that all stations and games are attended to for each shift. It also is typical for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating rules for clients. Supervisors could also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.
Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and above average communication skills. They need these talents both to manage staff efficiently and to greet clients in order to promote return visits. Quite a few casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, many supervisors gain expertise in other wagering occupations before moving into supervisory desks because knowledge of games and casino operations is important for these employees.
