Cambodia Casinos

There is an appealing history to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just across the dividing line from nearby Thailand, in which gambling hall wagering is banned. Eight gambling dens are situated in a relatively small location in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a 3 to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest gaming centers in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very couple of Westerners. The amazing income accrued from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a few limitations requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mostly Thai; although, investment sources are ambiguous. The borders are formally open from 09:00 to 1700, and even though visas are for all intents and purposes required to cross, there are ways around this, as is accurate of most borders.

The initial Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were required to close in 1998, leaving only 1 gambling hall in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked ship gambling hall, features one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and sixty table games. The Naga casino is open all day and night with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon followed. There are one hundred and fifty slots and 5 table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slots and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slots and 96 table games, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and 66 of the familiar gaming tables, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the 8 gambling dens in Poipet, also in a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an international resort and hotel compound that features many luxuries accompanying the gambling den, which provides 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and eighty eight tables.
